About the VigilEnt Policy Center
The VigilEnt Policy Center (VPC) provides a unique web-based solution to manage the entire policy development lifecycle. Using VPC, organizations can easily create, review, publish, educate and track user compliance. VPC can be used to certify that each user in your organization has both read and understood the policy documents that apply to them based on their organizational role. Management reports show user certification by document version, date and user group or role. VPC integrates easily with existing LDAP-based user directories such as Active Directory.
Administrator Site
The VPC Administrator site is a multi-user, role-based system that allows privileged users to administer the VPC system. Administrative functions include:

Policy Creation - Create policies using one of the many VPC policy libraries, including Information Security Policies Made Easy, by Charles Cresson Wood. Import policies in either Word or PDF format. Policy Education - Create, edit and review on-line quizzes and self-assessments to test user understanding. Choose from over 1300 pre-written quiz questions from the policy library. Compliance Tracking - Run compliance and exception reports on both policy documents and quizzes, showing which users have read which documents. Produce graphical or HTML reports that can be exported to MS Excel. Also view and manage security incident reports. Program Administration - Create and manage user privileges. Manage links to user directories. Customize the end-user site behaviour. Specify logging, security and audit parameters. |

Document Inbox - Quickly shows which documents and quizzes need attention. Provides customized news area for important awareness material. Folder View - Provides role-based view into hierarchical policy structure. Uses familiar Windows Explorer metaphor. Document Viewer - Clicking on a document brings up the easy-to-use document viewer, where users can review, read and acknowledge acceptance of policy documents with optional digital signature controls. Search - Allows users to search for keywords in published policies. Results link directly to document viewer. Reporting - Users can anonymously report potential security violations. Reports can be routed to various administrators for immediate attention. |
