Expert to Speak at 2004 Security Curriculum Development Conference
in Atlanta, Georgia
Houston, Texas -
June 2, 2004
Information Shield, Inc. today announced
that David Lineman, President and CEO of Information Shield, will
speak at The 2004 Information Security Curriculum Development Conference
in Atlanta, GA. Hosted by Kennesaw State University, Kennesaw, GA
and sponsored by Microsoft, this will be the first conference in
the Southeast focused exclusively on university curriculum development.
InfoSecCD is one of the first major forums for the presentation
of research and pedagogical experience on the issues associated
with the development and conduct of Information Security curriculum
in higher education in the Southeast. "Events like InfoSecCD are
critical to the future of information security in the Unites States,"
said Mr. Lineman. "One of the constant issues facing security professionals
is security education and awareness. By building strong infosec
programs at the university level, we can insure a future of qualified
professionals ready to lead the security efforts required in this
fast-changing field."
The mission of the conference is
to share novel instructional methods and techniques, pedagogical
research findings, curriculum models and methods, and to identify
new directions for future research and development work in Information
Security education. The conference will provide both a venue to
discuss these pedagogical issues, and professional development opportunities,
through presentations from industry professionals. For more details
visit the InfoSecCD
web site.
